Does anyone know how to use the vocoder effect in this program? I heard it make your voice relatively the same as that of Britney’s voice in her song ‘3′.

    Please HELP!!

    Thanks

You are only allowed to upload a certain length of song. Click file, export as wave. Then browse and click “recently changed” after you go through myspace. it should upload.

To anybody who has Windows Vista, this will not work this way. What you need to do is right-click the Volume on the bottom of the screen and go to SOUNDS. Then go to RECORDING. Right click on the blank space and click SHOW DISABLED. Then right click STEREO MIX and enable it. then select it as your default. Now Audacity will automatically record this way! :)

The most common issue with noise when recording into Audacity is the computer itself. If you computer generates a lot of noise (fan noise, poor sound card, old system), you won’t be able to get rid of it. You could have a $400 Heil microphone and you will still get noise.

ive tryed everything to get high quality sound out of audacity, an i still get a fuzz in the backfround, ive switched my mic to a samson co1u anmessed with every setting on every version of audacity n ive jus came to the conclusion its a bag of balls, i gave up n tryed a few other programs n never had problems like i did with audacity,

I’m currently running version 1.3.6. To change tone, highlight the section of the track you want to change then choose: Effect–>Pitch and Tempo–>Change Pitch…
