Dual Monitor Setup on Mac OS X

24 Nov, 2009  |  Posted by  |  under Set-Up

live.pirillo.com - I’ve been using the dual 30″ monitors with my Vista machine, hooked up with Dual Link DVI cables. Someone in chat suggested I use one of them for the MacBook Pro. With these new MBP’s, it’s quite easy. Just plug in one of the DVI cables, and off you go… or so I thought.

@AaronBalitskyz If your 20″ iMac has support up to at least 1920×1080 a 20″ monitor should work fine. You may need a converter from I belive to be a minidisplay port on an iMac to whatever the monitor has as its connection.:)

Hello. I have a iMac 20″ and a Sony Bravia KDL-20B4050. I want to plug in my Sony Bravia 20″ but its a strange resolution 1366 x 768. I found my mac cant do 1366 x 768. Is their some why for adjusting the resolution to fit the screen. The best i can do is 1344 x 840. Also my friend told me that if i got a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter then got a DVI to HDMI adapter that would work. any ideas? My sony has VGA

Create a script its insanely easy to do.
Just hit record and do what you want to do it should record it all.
If it doesn’t search on some big apple forums. I got one for switch resolution and orientation a wile back.

I wasn’t insulting or anything, it’s just that I love the G4’s. I like most of the Apple hardware, just as long as it can run Leopard ;)
