When the target moves out of the blur, add another blur. I’ve sometimes used 5 or 6 blurs to cover a moving target.

I can get the blur callout to last long enough in the timeline but as the subject moves to follow the cursor the blur callout does not move. The subject slides out from underneath. Have you ever seen that?
Brandenburg IV:1 very nice.

Bill your tutorials are phenomenal!!
Easy to understand, no loud clicking noises, no annoying blured screen captures!! Your videos are top of the line and thanks for everything:]

Yes, you can do that in Camtasia. But it is usually easier to apply effects to camcorder video in a video editing program.

Didn’t know I could use pictures that are on my computer as callouts.
Can you also take a picture and cover up an area such as a face that is moving around in a video by adding the picture callout many times frame by frame or is that too envolved for camtasia 6?

You can move the blur, but Camtasia is mainly for editing computer screen captures, not so much for camcorder video.

I never use smart focus, preferring to have more control on zoom and pans in my videos.
Not using smart focus eliminates a number of editing problems - at least for me

Great series Bill, thanks.
I get how to use blur callout, but how can I get it to follow the zoom, in smartfocus.
Do I have to create a new callout for each stage of the zoom, in smartfocus.

Thanks a lot!

Camtasia doesn’t have an ‘unblur’ effect.
You can import photos and paste them over any video track though.
andrewj088 | December 2nd, 2009 at 7:14 am #
Can you unblur a screen capture done on camtasia if you had the photo..meaning can you bring a photo into camtasia and unblur what was blurred using camtasia..just wondering.

Just curious, is there a way to make the blur keep in effect for the duration of a zoom? When I zoom, the blur stays where it was placed while the information beneath moves outside of the blur.
