They knew what plane’s they were running… how can they operate a 767 instead of a 757? They ordered two 67’s and one 57 I believe… they didn’t accidentally order it.

THAT WAS THE BLOODY POINT.
It was made by the SAME person who made the original.
It was to take the mickey out of BA and rathe than ‘bringing millions together’ like BA said, they say ‘a select few’ suggesting the exclusivity and benefits from Silverjet.
The problem is that this was TOO CLEVER for many people, as they just don’t think logically. It really does amaze me how so many people miss things.

Your all getting the wrong end of the stick the main point of this add is to compare BA 24 million people together to few people together to create emphisis around silverjets exclusive quiet service away from the mad rush airlines e.g. BA hence the 5 or so people doing the wink and one person running through NY instead instead of the large groups for both scenes in the BA add to impose the impression that silverjet service is quiet and exclusive something that a SELECTED FEW get to do.

Remember who this was directed by - Hugh Hudson, who also directed the original BA advert, not to mention several of the Cinzano ads, and the Fiat Strada ad. The essence of the Silverjet ad was parody - they had not got the vast availability of advertising cash that BA had used in the original. The outcome was excellent.

What the hell are yo on about ‘Running the wrong plane’ ??
The point of this airline was to offer an all business class service, for less money - which is a good idea.
Don’t have a go at them, they knew what they were doing and they had a good go at it. The prices of oil skyrocketed and most small and new airlines couldn’t cope no matter how good or bad they were.
Just because you like BA, don’t a biased and childish idiot about it. You are just too ignorant.

Yeah but the problem was that silverjet was running on the wrong plane (using a 767 insted of a 757) and having less people and it all led up to them going bust. At least the joke got shoved back in Silverjets face for doing such a stupid and copyright abuse thing!

That’s stupid. BA is a much larger company than Silverjet was. Any airline of that size can easily go bust in the high climate in the airline industry.
The ‘idiot’ that thought this up was the person who created the original.
THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS IS TO TAKE THE MICK OUT OF BA AND ALSO SHOW THAT IT IS MORE EXCLUSIVE AS THERE ARE LESS PEOPLE.
UNFORTUNATELY IT’S ONE OF THOSE ADVERTS THAT MOST PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND.

Oh please…how unoriginal. The Silverjet cabin crew manager is the ***** who created the great BA cabin crew strike of 1997 which began BA’s downfall. So…Silverjet pick up BA management rejects….! Look forward to Willie Walsh joining the ranks any day now.
