Melissa, Thank you for your strong, supportive, refreshing and honest post. I thank you you on behalf of every freedom seeking Iranian who can no longer see this video due to all sorts of filtering mechanisms the government has put in place since then. I loved it.
missdaniih | December 9th, 2009 at 9:38 pm #
wow Melissa, thank you so much for making this video, it really cleared a lot of things up for me and i think its really great that you made this vid because i know that you are one person that can reach out to tons of people and pass on this message, which you did so brilliantly.
sprink05 | December 9th, 2009 at 9:38 pm #
its vids like this one Mel that show how amazing you are. You’re heart and soul and sometimes in todays age it seems we’re all losing that little by little. So thank you for constantly reminding me what my faith and harry potter had taught me: love is the greatest of all weapons.

M-
This is awesome. This issue is close to my heart. I loved hearing your view and I love thinking about the young people you will reach. Democracy is a beautiful thing. I only wish 80 percent of Americans would take voting as seriously as the people of Iran. Iran’s voter turnout and determination to fight injustice is frankly just inspiring. Thanks again for this video!

To all the Iranians, keep faith! Don’t give up!

Melissa~
Well put. In the words of Dumbledore himself, “Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and hearts are open.” This week has reminded the world yet again that tyrants really do fear the people they oppress!
Keep the faith!
BFace91 | December 9th, 2009 at 9:38 pm #
They played the rooftop protests on the BBC news. Most of England heard the protest too. I think England is one of the most condescending countries, and the BBC has been asked to stop the news coverage by the iranian government, but the BBC just told us about that on the news! I am not an expert, but i know how important this is, and i have seen on the news what is happening, and it looks to me like change!
PetroPotnoy | December 9th, 2009 at 9:38 pm #
Thank you for supporting us; I hope one day the whole world will undrestand that Iranians are not THE AXIS OF EVIL but the Authorities of a regime we never voted for.
kk7872 | December 9th, 2009 at 9:38 pm #
Ok so I knew about the election and riots and whatnot, but the protest organized by young iranians at 4am on rooftops just to say “God is great,” heard throughout the city? I find this so moving. thank you melissa for talking about this today. it is so relevant to the likes of the DA, the underdogs speaking their mind and taking charge to let their voices be heard too.
harrysjulie | December 9th, 2009 at 9:38 pm #
It’s nonsensical that there are places and people in the world that still believe they can act in these ways and get away with it.
“I’ll fix this election and have my opposition killed because I want to stay in power. No one will say anything. How will they know.”
truthissoap | December 9th, 2009 at 9:38 pm #
You hit that dead-on when you said that there’s something about the protests that speaks to the national character of America.
