yes its a place for ppl to gather their ideas .. but hey, have u noticed that most these ppl are actually just using facebook to lets say chat, make frends, use different fun applications such as ”who has got the highest IQ” or ”how girly am i” or playing ”poker” n this sort of stuff.. n this infact can be very time wasting sometimes..

it’s a place where ppl can gather their ideas and find out that they’re not alone, the opposite of what a dictatorship wants

freedom can be dangerous, look at us in the US, we are a mess, from AIDS, TO RACISM, TO GAYS, to legal prostiution, to homlessness, TO DRUGS, TO GANGS. trust me
but religion and politics should always be seperate.

Its a very affective tool for passing information that is suppressed by the unelected rulers of the country, it allows people to show their pain an suffering in the pursuit of freedom and democracy, this in turn allows us to understand what is going on the the region and offer help and support as and where we can. Facebook, along with youtube are the new media tools for the people or Iran to show the world what is really going on and deliberately hidden from us.

F$%k Facebook! It’s just another social website. WTF is the big deal? They don’t need the sh!t anyways. It’s not like they’re banning a library or something…….. something with actual value. They’re just banning a dime-a-dozen “waste-your-time” website. They only people who gives a sh!t, are the ones who uses it, nobody else cares.

i don’t think you’re understanding… you can still use facebook in Iran by way of proxy servers based out of China when the government bans the website…. but facebook isn’t always banned in Iran… the regime uses this censorship to suppress political anti-government mobilization…
