Android Phone? There’s a Bigger Market for the OS

Thanks to the Archos 5 Internet Tablet, you can have video playback and web browsing - and use Android, as well. I ran into Charbax during the LeWeb conference in Paris last week. He asked me if I’d like to check one of these out, so that I can finally use Android (and an Archos!) myself. I know Chris will fit perfectly into a locker.

I own an Iphone but I think I’d buy the Archos 5 instead of an Ipod touch. Specifically because of the price ($219 on amazon for the 250G) and the amount of 3rd party games that will likely be available on the android system.
Wont give up my Iphone though. over 135 apps and loving it.

Chris, did you check the Archos 9 PCTablet?it has windows 7 preinstalled. Even before windows 7 service pack 1 was released, service pack 1 was preinstalled on it as well.

Wow i was just looking at the reviews over at cnet for this. they said its a bit sluggish vs ipod touch I would buy this right now if android was updated and had full access to the app store… i wounder if you can do voip on this dohicky?

i suggest dimming down the lights in the room when making reviews like that, makes the screen look a lot clearer. just a suggestion, great review!
