Somebody could find your ip simply by pinging the dyndns account you made. I love your videos.

how do i use this with a TLD and not a sub domain? should i just set up domain forwarding and forward to my server’s ip? but, how do i manage it if I have a dynamic ip?

I think no-ip com is a similar thing… iirc they have a program that automatically detects if your IP has changed for people with dynamic IPs.

No, it is my isp, my isp is watchdog, its a family ISP that block torrent sites, porn sites and other illegal and R Rated sites. Apparently you tube uk is one of them but official utube isnt

dont get me wrong i understood that and i definatly dont want to sound like i dont like your vids i just didnt understand what this was exactly ment for.

i hook my laptop (main cpu) straight from an ethernet chord port to the modem so i guess it really doesnt concern me.

I doubt its your ISP. Sounds like your PC. Try another PC on the same Modem. Could be Malware. Also, check your Host file:

    Windows XP =
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host

Not sure if its in the same place in Vista.

I guess you don’t usually configure your families Router from a Remote Location then…

I use many of these DNS services, so don’t need help on this. But I know if I did, this Video will have been very helpful. KEEP IT UP gigafide! :)

Does anyone know a tool that redirects certain domain extensions to others? E.g. My inbox gets a youtube email and it links to youtube-co-uk and I would it to autochange the link to youtube-com because my isp blocks uk utube (dunno why)

this video is targeted towards people that run home servers. it’s useful for them so that they don’t have to keep typing in their IP addresses. i make a wide range of videos, just because it’s not useful to you does not mean it’s not useful.
