i agree with you Irixion. if people dont like his videos why watch? why even leave a comment? they should just shut their mouths so to speak
haloking187 | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
Somebody could find your ip simply by pinging the dyndns account you made. I love your videos.

how do i use this with a TLD and not a sub domain? should i just set up domain forwarding and forward to my server’s ip? but, how do i manage it if I have a dynamic ip?
walvering | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #

well no one cares a bout people like you
PvtNewbie | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
I think no-ip com is a similar thing… iirc they have a program that automatically detects if your IP has changed for people with dynamic IPs.

i’ll look into that. good suggestion!
crysisbestgame | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
No, it is my isp, my isp is watchdog, its a family ISP that block torrent sites, porn sites and other illegal and R Rated sites. Apparently you tube uk is one of them but official utube isnt
neverlookback1 | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
dont get me wrong i understood that and i definatly dont want to sound like i dont like your vids i just didnt understand what this was exactly ment for.
i hook my laptop (main cpu) straight from an ethernet chord port to the modem so i guess it really doesnt concern me.
jax0 | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
SWEET! But what I want to see is how to get a static address. Mine changes and I can’t use my server efficiently… :/ Good video though…
InMeRaven | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
Ah i see, scary stuff!
Ilicpro | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
thanks man
J2897 | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
I doubt its your ISP. Sounds like your PC. Try another PC on the same Modem. Could be Malware. Also, check your Host file:
Windows XP =
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host
Not sure if its in the same place in Vista.
J2897 | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
I guess you don’t usually configure your families Router from a Remote Location then…
I use many of these DNS services, so don’t need help on this. But I know if I did, this Video will have been very helpful. KEEP IT UP gigafide!
jlumley | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
fantastic, you are intuitive man that was exactly what i was after. Hey would you post a tutorial I am making called “Setting up Domino/ Lotus Notes” on vista?
crysisbestgame | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
Does anyone know a tool that redirects certain domain extensions to others? E.g. My inbox gets a youtube email and it links to youtube-co-uk and I would it to autochange the link to youtube-com because my isp blocks uk utube (dunno why)
gigafide | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
this video is targeted towards people that run home servers. it’s useful for them so that they don’t have to keep typing in their IP addresses. i make a wide range of videos, just because it’s not useful to you does not mean it’s not useful.
EnchantixEnergy | February 25th, 2009 at 2:24 am #
thnx found this very useful thank you!!!
