Blog 42 - Locations and Red Light
30 Jul, 2009 | Posted by nancyperez | under Set-Up
In this blog I continue filming and explain the use of varying locations across England and Switzerland in order to create a single house location while Gabi makes a Brazilian sweet called ‘Brigadeiros’ with my cousins. But no sooner do we get started I hit another red light on the film and Gabi is unimpressed. Thanks to Simon Hosick of Dark Water for his music - ‘Proxy’ and ‘Moon Hit’ www.myspace.com/0darkwater0

Dude, you continue to be an inspiration, really.
It’s hard enough making a film with a cast and crew but on your own… you have to be stronger than ever. Although you’re not really on your own because you have Gaby.
And Gaby, as many have commented - hang in there!
Best of luck man.

You know ironically these Blogs are like a film of their own, a love story between you and Gabi and your struggle to complete what you set out to do. Great job with everything so far and can’t wait to see the finished project.

To live the life of an artist there has to be struggle the struggle of the establishment the struggle of not having anything, but for the artist this is not a struggle this is their journey into the unknown because we do not know the future the future is not written yet, a true artist lives in the now the present they have no fear. They have a message, people of the world listen…

Listen for the sake of your children listen for the sake of your unborn children listen for the sake of yourselves, stop living in fear you do not know the future! Stay true to yourself and you will have nothing to fear.

Gaby, hang in there. I can’t even imagine how incredibly hard this whole process must be for you. It’ll pay off, though! It’ll all be worth it!

Another great clip, well, it was bittersweet The haunting music and the pace of the video all suggest that this is the calm before the storm. I look forward to your next blog, but dread it at the same time.
My fingers are crossed for you!

I recently shot a movie, which became a short, in New Zealand and I’m going through the EXACT same thing! (although I’m single, so even though it’s tough, consider yourself fortunate to have a good girl to be with you as you’re struggling to make it) - Keep up the hard work, you’ve got a lot of people who’ve been following your work and are really looking forward to paying good money to see the finished product!
