I am currently trying to lose the excess weight I gained during the holidays. I’ve been exercising but the diet is actually a little harder to stick to.
FlowingGeisha | February 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm #
I’m talking about weight loss diets.
loderchris | February 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm #
A diet is what you eat, so I am on a diet.

“I go to the gym…well…sometimes.” LOL that is so funny.
You are so right. Accountablity, even if it is just to yourself, is definately one of the keys to success. But even more so is your mentality. You have to be willing to accept responsibility for your actions, not get to depressed when you don’t loose or when you gain, & decide to do better the next week. I’ve never been good at the mentality part of it in the past until this year & now I’ve lost over 40 lbs.

Now when someone says diets don’t work. It’s like diets don’t work Weight Watchers does. I like your green screen and I liked your metabolism story and adding fuel to the fire, logs and candles oxymorons.

i also agree that it is not easy to change habits. It is almost like anything else in life, once you see it for what it is and it is identified that still doesn’t make it go away–but at that point you have the knowledge, execution is the battle. Once you have executed and see and feel results its not as easy to claim no control:)

I do have a healthy way of eating. I start my morning with a Fruit Spiruteen Shake, and have small meals thru the day about 5. Then at night, I eat a light snack of fruit or yogurt and I sleep better like that too. By walking even three times a week, for even 20 minutes, you can stretch all your muscles at the same time. I also do massage, and I see alot of people who do not exercise or even walk, and they have the most muscle problems as well.

U serious? u lost 20 pounds from walking? i gotta try doing that, but a healthy diet is more important
quietwolf11 | February 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm #
I lost twenty pounds by using Spiruteen, a healthy good tasting drink with vitamins, that has spirulina. It was more about exercise, and I just walked. I’m not too good at doing a regular gym routine so I walked, and worked out at home. This weight was from menopause.
sanbo789 | February 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm #

I have so many questions to ask you, but I’ll wait until I can put together a specific letter. In short. I retired from the USAF weighing 130# at 6′1″. I now weigh 260#, age 63. I take about 30 pills /day from the VA for PTSD, minears, depression. I’m starting to work outside more docs say no lawn mowers because I loose my balance too often and have pulled the mower toward myself when falling backward. I take B6 for nerve damage, fish oil. VA says don’t take organics etc because of …etc

Radia is my new “Stop the Insanity” girl…by the way, whatever happened to Susan Powder after she attacked the weight loss industry?

Most things in america are designed for profit. I wish there was a commonly available resource for everyone to achieve whatever goals. Something like the big brother and big sister system, but for adults with similar interests.
redsummers | February 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm #
Nice greenscreen
Bobofet241 | February 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm #
NO diet program that I know of does this for free, happy to support you through your weight loss. These ‘programs’ cost a lot of money and if you have a lot to lose it adds up to a ‘hell of a lot of money’.It’s all about money, profit and making a living off the fat of the land. Most people are not rich,it’s great if you are.I’m not. They are a Multi million dollar business.

A friend of mine went on the GI-diet and she lost like 20 pounds, and she only gained about 6 pounds again when she stopped the diet. She became slim like hell. Just wanted to tell everyone that, who thought that GI didn’t work!
XOXO, have a good day
Exus11 | February 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm #
i dont think yo yo diets are not that bad. Some people can do the liquid diets for a while, drop 10-30 pounds and cleanse their body. Not always do this people put back on the weight, it’s just about how you are eating after that
c16467 | February 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm #
“Radhia” as a name intrigued me so I looked it up; it is Arabic and means “Well Satisfied”(I am sure you already knew that!)
I lost 20 pounds over a year period and it is still off. I did not intend to loose weight but I did intend to better my health and well-being. I lost the weight due to better nutrition some of the advice I gained here. Maximum whole, live, organic foods and minimal processed crap like most Americans eat. Thank you!
zstreet | February 21st, 2009 at 12:55 pm #
I think it’s cute that you green screen everything and then state that you are somewhere else besides in front of that green screen….quite an imagination you have.

I would like to point out that the word DIET has been altered over the years to mean that you subtract something or are restricting foods and nothing more. While a diet is ANY food you eat its still good to know that going on a “DIET” doesn’t just mean restrictions. I wish people thought of a diet as more of a meal to meal philosophy. What should I eat at dinner to get the iron I missed at lunch? OR what should breakfast be to get my energy levels a boost until my mid-morning snack?
