How To Install a WordPress Plugin (This is Filezilla Method) Video Part I
There are two ways to install a WordPress Plugin: the first way is manually, using an FTP client such as Filezilla, or automatically through the WordPress Dashboard. This video covers the former. This is the first part of a two-part series of screencast how-to video tutorials about how to install a WordPress Plugin. If you use an FTP client like Filezilla to upload a WordPress Plugin to your website, you will need to download Filezilla first. You can find Filezilla online by doing a search in Google for “filezilla”. The next thing you will do is configure your Filezilla FTP client with your websites. Once you have that set up, then you open up your remote folders, and open up your local folders to find a location of the Plugin that you’ve downloaded from their respective Plugin site. Remember that if you’re manually uploading a WordPress Plugin using Filezilla always used the unzipped format. Never use the zipped format. Any time you download a WordPress Plugin from the Internet or from the WordPress Plugin Directory, it’s always downloaded to your computer zipped up. I use a program called when WinRAR; it’s a free, file compression software.
