IBM Reveals Its “Blue Business Platform” Strategy

At IBM's Business Partner Leadership Conference in LA (5/1/08), CEO Sam Palmisano revealed IBM's plans for a "cloud" platform and online application marketplace for Small & Medium Businesses - called the "Blue Business Platform" (look out, salesforce.com). Interestingly, Google's Eric Schmidt was with him on stage, and they talked about the increasing connections between the consumer and business markets (and, between the lines, IBM and Google increasing cooperation and competition). Yes, a great addition by YouTube. They don’t yet work with the embedded version of videos, but they claim it’s coming along soon.
