I hate it when journalists dumb things down so adults can understand today’s lingo. Most “adults” *air quotes* actually know a lot of hip lingo, and for those who don’t should be told.
How else will parents know that “internet sex chat” is called “cyber” if news stations always refer to it as “internet sex chat”!? (or “indecent text” etc etc)
“nerdfighters”.. thats what it’s actually called so why air quote, it makes them seem so BEHIND TEH TIMEZ compared to everyone else lol

i always find it uncomfortable when they do news things for “internet sensations” and “internet celebrities” and velociraptor air quotes, just something about it…
