How to Find My POP3 Mail Server A Post Office Protocol (POP3) server allows your email client, such as Windows Mail and Mac Mail, to retrieve your email messages. At times, when you are troubleshooting a problem, you may need to know your POP3 server. This is displayed in your email client’s settings and probably on your service provider’s website. Service Provider 1.Check your email address. The portion that is after the “@” sign will indicate your service provider. 2.Open a browser and go to Real Life Web Designs (see Resources) and refer to the list of POP3 server names that is provided. 3.Go to your provider’s website if you cannot find your POP3 server on the list. You can find your POP3 server name in the instructions on the site to set up your email in an email client such as Outlook or Windows Mail. Windows Mail 1.Launch your Windows Mail application. 2.Click “Tools” in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click “Accounts.” 3.Highlight the account and click the “Properties” button on the right side. 4.Click the “Servers” tab. 5.View your POP3 server name in the “Incoming mail” field. Mac Mail 1.Launch your Mac Mail application. 2.Click “Mail” in the main menu bar. 3.Click the “Accounts” tab.
