TV Tokyo Sign-On Late 1970s

This was the sign-on (or “opening spot”) for television station JOTX-TV, Channel 12 in Tokyo, Japan, known today as TV Tokyo. I think this may very well date back to the second half of the 1970s. A similar version of the sign-on was previously available on YouTube before it was removed. Also, notice the fonts used: Verdana in the title cards, and STAR 4 used in the explanation and overlapping. The STAR 4 font is based on The Weather Channel’s WeatherStar 4000 forecasting unit. More videos from Scripps Yahoo! Networks coming soon!!! Note: This clip is in Japanese with no voiceover. This clip, like others, is for displaying, viewing, research, entertainment, preservation and nostalgic purposes. More clips like these can be found here: famima.gozaru.jp Reminder: Scripps Yahoo! Networks is in no way, shape or form associated or affiliated with The EW Scripps Company of Cincinnati, Ohio or TV Tokyo or their affiliates and associates. At the end, the audio is the station identification for Scripps-owned WMAR-TV in Baltimore, Maryland, dating back to 1986 — then an NBC affiliate, now an ABC affiliate. Scripps acquired the station in 1991. Please watch, enjoy, comment and rate!!! By the way, sorry about all the extras, I was probably trying too hard to be super creative!!! My apologies!!!
