This video shows the cycle of shielding, from the initial complaint the proper persons responsible locally, the evidence of the violation that was sent or linked in the initial complaint. And the do nothing, we will use our “discretion” not to enforce the law or hold this venue responsible despite numerous complaints. This is how local officials go about protecting and shielding certain venues, while holding other venues accountable for the same violations. Liquor code violations, noise violations, Smoke-Free Illinois Act violations, under age serving violations, over-serving violations. You name it, its being manipulated under this subtle form of racketeering. The laws are not enforced equally, denying ordinary Bloomington citizens their right to equal protection under the law. Bloomington citiziens deserve better, this Smoke-Free Illinois Act was designed to protect Illinois citizens from harmful second hand smoke. Yet, no one will provide the protection.
